SELLERS' INFORMATION
CHECK-IN TIME IS 5:15 TO 6:30 P.M. FOR ALL SALE ITEMS

SELLERS: PREPARE your 3x5" cards, item labels or stickers at home before the auction! All prices must be even-dollar amounts - no cents. No cards needed for retail sales items.

MARKING YOUR ITEMS: Every item for auction should have a sticker or label on it, showing your member number and the item number (example: member #222 would mark his items, 222-1, 222-2, 222-3, 222-4, etc.) Also, for each plant or bonsai-related item for auction you will need two 3x5" index cards (odd sizes or paper slips no longer accepted!) - both cards should have your member number/item number and minimum price (if any) at the top, and the name of the item in the middle of the card (example: Mugo Pine). The first card is for accounting purposes, so you get paid, and the second card goes to the new owner with the item. The second one should add any information for the buyer on tree care, age, history, last repotting, etc.

REGULAR AUCTION ITEMS: CHECK-IN TIME IS FROM 5:15 TO 6:30 P.M. There is no limit on the number of plants you may bring, but no more than 3 non-plant items for the regular auction, please - more than 3 will be placed on the silent auction or retail sales tables. The club receives 10% of auction prices. You may designate one item as your #1 priority item, and it will be put up for auction during the first half of the auction. The auctioneer reserves the right to establish a minimum price for any item to be sold in the regular auction. Unsold items will be returned to the seller.

SILENT AUCTION ITEMS: The silent auction tables are for smaller or inexpensive things, OR if you have more than 3 non-plant, bonsai-related items to sell (see preceding paragraph). The club receives 10% of the selling price. Bidding closes around 8:30 PM and will be announced 10 minutes before.

RETAIL SALES: For things to be sold at a set price - collect the cash yourself,  the club takes no percentage, and they don't need to be even-dollar prices.

Silent Auction and Retail tables will be distributed among the club and the vendors by the auction committee at their discretion.

-  Sellers will get a check in the mail for the total of their sold items, less the club's 10 percent.
-  All plants must be free of pests and diseases and will be inspected at check-in.
-  Auctioneer and chairman reserve the right to direct items to the Silent Auction tables.
