| For our August 2nd general meeting, program chairman Glenda Jungquist has planned a presentation showing how members store their bonsai over the winter months, plus a sharing of summer setups for growing our trees. The meeting begins at 7:30 PM, but come earlier to: SIGN UP to help with Fair Show setup, or to work a 3-hour shift on Friday or Saturday at the show. You don't need experience to answer the public's questions, and you'll be surprised how much fun it is and how much you LEARN by joining fellow members at the Fair. Remember, you'll get a FREE FAIR TICKET for volunteering! SIGN UP to work with bonsai expert Marty Schmalenberg, who will be here over Labor Day weekend for our club workshops. Have a tree that needs professional advice? This will be your last chance for this year, so stop at the sign-up table for more information. And check out the vendors, the library, the raffle prizes, and the coffee 'n cookies counter (leave a tip when you fill up - we'll need more for next month). |
